How could native iOS apps better adapt to the needs and behaviors of modern day users?

Project Goal

This project is to explore smarter and more contextual features to better communicate arrival times and starting times for meetings and scheduled events.

What if people could communicate flexible starting times?

What if people could quickly communicate their updated ETA directly from the iOS Calendar app?

Ambiguous starting time

This exploration looks at how to communicate the hedging and noncommittal responses in natural language revolving around scheduling. This proposed feature allows people to communicate whether a schedule has a solid or flexible start time by switching between "at" and "around".

ETA Communication

This feature explores scenarios to communicate attendees' ETAs automatically based on their GPS location and traffic and also the option to send their ETAs manually.

Setup

Turn on ETA Sharing while in Edit Event page, invitees to the event are automatically preselected

Sharing ETA

Automatic ETA sharing could be manually overridden by tapping on the ETA icon on the event to bring up the bottom sheet selection

Receiving ETA

Shared ETA is received in the lockscreen and in the Calendar app

Project Goal

People often have multiple apps they use for sharing and sending photos on their phones. This project is to explore and identify simple interactions that can streamline and enhance the photo-sharing process.

What if ...

What if the iOS Camera could be a universal camera that directly takes photos for third party apps?

What if people could quickly share multiple photos to different apps directly from iOS Camera?

Quick Send

Quick Send allows users to take a single photo and send it directly to a pre-selected app without switching between third party camera apps.

Quick Share

This feature allows users to select and share multiple photos directly from the Camera Roll within the Camera app without having to leaving.
